Meals on Wheels

Delivery Volunteers & Substitutes

Drivers needed right now for Sacramento and Rancho Cordova!

Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers are the people who actually deliver the meals to the homes of the elderly, ill and disabled clients. Volunteers use their own vehicles to pick up the food at pick-up sites close to their delivery routes. The individual meals are packed in hot and cold food containers that the volunteers load into their vehicle. Volunteers are scheduled on a monthly basis and are sent a newsletter and monthly schedule.

All volunteers must go out on a training run with staff or an experienced driver before making a commitment to drive for us. SNS would like you to experience Meals on Wheels to discover if volunteering is something you would enjoy doing.
