I want to take some time and compose an appreciation note for the DHA 2006 Scholarship Award Program along with the various participating caucuses. The many people who have labored to create and run such a gracious organization striving to help students such as myself to earn a higher education deserve the highest admiration. Words cannot express my gratitude for my selection as a scholarship recipient. Arriving at the award ceremony, I did not fathom seeing so many awardees. This only goes to showcase the program's benevolence and compassion in the realm of education. The night's agenda was extremely inspirational--seeing and hearing all of the presentations, essays, and background stories of the scholarships evoked within me a strong sense of motivation to excel in postsecondary schooling.

Thank you and everyone for the tremendous efforts in raising the money needed to finance the numerous awardees' future scholastic endeavors. Also, many thanks for organizing the enchanting ceremony, which served as the perfect culmination. On behalf of my family and myself, a personal thank you for making it easier for me to attain a degree at UCLA. It is a gesture of kindness that I will never forget.
