The General Services Facilties Management Division oversees the upkeep and safety of department facilities.
This includes the siting and construction / remodeling of county buildings; employee safety and ergonomics; and facilities maintenance, including janitorial, landscaping, pest control, waste management and recycling.
General Services manages and serves 25 major leased facilities and 90 sites throughout the county where staff is located.
Effective Monday, November 16, 2009, the hours for lobby and reception at the 1725 28th Street Bureau will be 8:00am to 4:00pm. At 4:00pm each day, the gate and lobby doors will be closed, and no additional drop-in clients will be admitted to the building. Clients already in the lobby at 4:00pm and those with scheduled appointments will be served.

Effective Monday, September 14, 2009 the Department of Human Assistance is making changes to the Medi-Cal and County Medically Indigent Services (CMIS) Programs.
Effective Tuesday, September 8, 2009, all General Assistance cases and workers at the Research Dr. bureau will be moving to the Department of Human Assistance bureau at 1725 28th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
If you already are a General Assistance client, your worker and case will be moving there, too.
