CalFresh Helps Stretch Your Grocery Budget
You may be like many Sacramento County residents struggling to make ends meet each month. After paying for rent, utilities, transportation, and childcare, there is often little leftover to buy nutritious food. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Whether you live alone or with others, have children or not, or are working or not, CalFresh can help you stretch your grocery budget.
If you qualify, CalFresh benefits are issued on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to use like debit cards at participating grocery stores. In certain situations, you may receive emergency CalFresh benefits within three (3) days.
For information on how to apply, call (916) 874-3100 or (209) 744-0499. You can also apply online at Benefits CalWIN.
